for everyone

The "owner" came down with her grandson but refused to do anything for the kitten as it was "just a cat!". Maxijane and myself were going to bring it to the vet ...but then it died quickly, did not suffer long. We will bury the kitten later. The little grey tabby was no more than 3 months old.

Rest in peace little kitten...

If only we have the NYPD Animal Police to call on!
Perhaps the SPCA can be informed to give the owner and scare and a warning to prevent future tragedy?

They will just deny that it’s their kitten. First she said that they took the kitten in a few days ago. After being scolded she changed the story claiming the kitten was just a stray on their corridor. How I wish we had an Animal Police!

Send an email to the SPCA and let the field officer make a visit. Even if the owner sticks the same lie, the visit might serve to deter.

Rest in peace, little one...
I agree with vegancatsg, report to SPCA as a scare tactic. The "owner" have to be "warned" that she cannot get away if they just take in another kitten but not care for it, the beginnings of another irresposible owner...
