Brought her to see the vet this morning and they are doing a blood test for liver/kidney function. She has some ulcers in her mouth…but not so bad that it would make her refuse even soft food.
cats normally are able to spit out their own hairballs, no? If the vets are going to do a blood test it should most probably reveal anything that's bothering her.
Thanks Libslaver! I will get the test results tomorrow but I have a feeling its a blockage... the way she throws up even a syringe full of liquid. I am very worried...she doesn't take anesthetic well and once almost died after taking a dose of NSAID...and Dr. Thiru is out of town...

A tsp of olive oil into her food daily should do the trick in aiding her to throw up hairballs easily. It helps lubricate the lining of her oesophagus and small intestines to help the hairball come up easier. Provided the problem with nushi is really blockage and not something else.
Brought her straight to the hospital yesterday…didn’t even wait for the blood test results…which later came back normal. Calcium test was also negative which makes pancreas problem less likely. X-ray showed 3 dark patches. They gave her a pill that will dissolve into little beads, which should show any blockage on x-ray after 24 hrs, which will be this afternoon. If confirmed that it’s blockage they are going to operate today.
I once read something about a more gentle anesthetics…Will ask the vet… but some things are not available here or they don’t have the experts. This is beyond laxative or any other gentle method…

She throws up everything, even a sryringe of water...Luckily she didn't throw up the pill with the beads. This method is the alternative to ultrasound which is unavailable at the moment.
