Blog EntryStitches is safe for now...Dec 1, '06 7:20 AM
for everyone

Unlike me, stitches was not traumatized. I cried yesterday just for the silly reason that I had trouble reading the map and bus guide to find my way to Pasir Panjang... a sleepless night followed and then at AVA I couldn't even remember my IC and hp numbers...my mind suddenly went totally blank.

Stitches seemed glad to be taken home and he was very hungry. The old wound at his cheek has opened up again and looks quite dirty. Will have to bring him to the vet if it doesn't improve in a few days time.

Will you be writing to the MP about this? Did the anonymous caller asked for cats to be killed? When Carol and I spoke to complainants about cat poo along the common corridors, they never asked or expected any cats to be killed. This is a common presumption of MPs and TC officers. If the feeder was caught and warned, there is no need to waste public fund on trapping the cats. What is going to happen if the irresponsible feeder continue?
If you do write, please cc to the rest of us.
Do take care of yourself.

Hi Helga, how are you now? & how is Stitches? I was disgusted by what I have read but Vegancatsg is right, do write to your MP? The TC could just be trying to pre-empt a potential outcry & decided to just cull the cats. It is a terrible society for our cats to be living in isnt it?

Take care,
Cat

Hi Vegan & Chaos,
Thanks for your concern and support!

I am reluctant to write to the MP as this is not the TC with the difficult property manager. Hope that I can work with this TC. Actually I told the property manager earlier that I am managing the cats at *02 – *05 and *14, *18, *25 so he assumed that those at *10 were not my cats. When I am told him that the cats move about between several blocks and if it’s tipped it must be one of those under my care, he agreed readily to have the cat released back. I will pass the CWS posters to him on Monday and find out whether they plan to send in the pest control again…will ask for some time to solve the litter problem – posters, flyering and even doing a survey if needed to see how many residents of this block actually want the cats removed and killed.

I am ok now, I think the worry about the sick Ginger and not knowing how to help him has worn me down… Anna said he came back yesterday but thinner and didn’t eat…

Will bring Stitches to the vet on Monday to have a look at his wound…otherwise he is his usual self and eating well.
