The Persian cat (Mirko) is still limping, so Anna brought him to the vet today. He is now resting at my place until he gets well. Mirko is a very tame and quiet cat. The vet estimated his age as 8 to 9 years. How can people be so cruel to throw out their elderly cats? I pity the Persians most. Having long hair is already a great disadvantage for an abandoned cat and in addition the Persians often have eye and nose problems.
Mirko seems happy in the cage, very playful, rolling about and kneading. His paw is better, he’s putting some weight on it now.
Mirko reminds me a lot of Malcolm. Wish we could keep him… or at least find a good home for him.
Actually he was almost adopted some weeks back, but then my friend had to take him back as he kept meowing through the first night at the new place. Well, so far he has been very quiet here, unlike some other people, such as Babu, Blackie and Whitie. Released Blackie today. Both sisters have regained their appetite and are doing fine. Babu will be snipped tomorrow…
